Fellowship Development knows the importance of your mission. Your organization has the greatest calling as your guiding principle: sharing the love of Jesus Christ and assisting him in building the kingdom.
This call comes from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33) Jesus speaks these words in the context of God’s generous care for all people. As God cares for all creation, how much more does the Father care for His people, Jesus asks.
Seeking the kingdom first
When believers organize their God-given gifts and talents, the work of our hands is blessed. Keep the mission front and center – the work you do changes lives. Bringing Christ to others through your ministry is the real-world impact that builds the kingdom. Whether it is preaching the word at church services, teaching young students not only academics but the truths of the faith, or meeting the temporal needs of your community, through a food shelf, homeless shelter, or another ministry that serves, every life you touch through the work of mercy you provide is building the kingdom. Jesus spoke to his followers: “for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in.” (Matthew 25:35) This is the work of building the kingdom that each believer is called to fulfill.
And all these things shall be added unto you
When we work for the glory of God and further the mission of the Church, we acknowledge that not only will God provide for the need in abundance, but it is through our ability to trust in God that we are able to most fully receive that gift. Trusting in God’s providential care to do the work He has called us to is not an easy task. But knowing that the Lord provides and living in that through the fundraising process is the call that we at Fellowship Development support and live with your community. This is where Fellowship Development’s robust foundation of capital campaign experience can serve your community the most. You can trust the process of financial growth for your community’s strategic vision with our expert counsel and the many services we provide.
Reflect
In the spirit of building the kingdom, think: how can our church, school or organization continue to be the hands of Christ to others? How are we serving our members and inviting others to be served? How do we reach the people who are in need, to whom the message of God’s kingdom is unknown? When we build the kingdom of God, how do we recognize the vision that God has placed on our hearts as a church, school or organization and see it touch the lives we have been called to serve?
Through Fellowship Development’s proven capital campaign tactics, we partner with churches, schools and Christian organizations to build the kingdom. It matters that you choose a capital campaign firm that understands your church’s needs and membership. Our campaign managers are active in their own church community and are also driven by the mission that you are, to inspire stewardship in order to build the kingdom.
